Newly renovated in 2021, this spacious, five-bedroom villa is securely set down a quiet cul-de-sac in a private community of villas in Petitenget, less than a kilometer from the beach, within walking distance of some of Bali’s best restaurants and bars, and a short taxi -ride from Seminyak.
The focus of this handsome tropical home is the 14-meter pool – framed by a pair of two-storey pavilions arranged in an L shape, with a third side taken up by the sun -deck and relaxing poolside balé. But the hub is the open-plan living room – a huge fan-cooled space leading directly to the pool terrace, where guests can settle into comfortable sofas set around a marble table or congregate at the enormous teakwood dining table that seats 12. Behind (but out of sight), you will find the gleaming, modern kitchen where the villa chef concocts mouthwatering meals and snacks, served by the butlers who between them provide attentive 24-hour service.
When the pull of socializing pales, there are lots of places to retreat to. How about a work-out in the well-equipped gym? Bedroom 1
The sliding doors of the ground floor Bedroom 1 open into a patio at the shallow end of the swimming pool. Bright patterned upholstery and wide windows play their role in livening up the ambience. With the doors open, the room seems to flow into the poolside spaces outside, yet you have complete privacy with the teakwood shutters drawn. A long desk on the side is useful if you want to get some work done, while dressing-up is fun in the large walk-in closet which leads into the ensuite bathroom with a rain shower amidst the greens.
Bedroom 2
The second bedroom on the ground floor also opens up to the patio but your vision stretches into the living lounge area. If curling up with a book is your idea of a holiday, the sink-in couch in the corner will fast become your favorite spot. The desk is surmounted by a flat-screen TV for your entertainment and the ensuite bathroom has a decadent bathtub besides a refreshing rainshower.
Bedroom 3 and 4
The two bedrooms on the first floor are similar to their counterparts downstairs, with king-size beds which can be converted into twins. Ensuite bathrooms and ample wardrobe space give you a feeling of home-away-from-home and the comfortable daybeds are a luxury for bookworms. The rooms open up onto a shared wooden patio overlooking the swimming pool and the lush tropical garden.
Bedroom 5
The fifth bedroom is located on the upper floor of the living pavilion. Set apart from the other bedrooms, this one promises privacy to a couple who prefer their own space. When the villa is booked for 4 bedrooms, this room can be converted into a media room. Cushioned armchairs and a 50-inch plasma TV make this a preferred venue for movie nights.
