7 Bedrooms

4 Childrens
The seven-bedroom fully staffed Villa Mana offers exceptional multi-level living and spectacular rice terrace vistas in the sought-after Canggu area on Bali’s south-west coast.
This is tropical Bali living on a large scale – enormous rooms, high ceilings, oversized furniture. Open plan for easy entertaining, the vast ground level living area flows onto a broad terrace where ancient frangipani trees shade the infinity edge pool, seemingly suspended above the garden and surrounding rice fields. Another terrace on the second floor offers acres of oversized daybeds. Guests may also retreat into the air-conditioned comfort of the large entertainment room and TV room/study or retire to the bedroom suites – all equally spacious, with stunning bathrooms and colossal ceiling-to-floor sliding glass doors opening onto the terrace or garden.
The minimalist modern architecture – clean lines, contemporary furnishings, expanses of polished concrete – imaginatively incorporate local materials to create statement walls of rough-hewn river stone, woven rattan, patterned silk and stained tropical hardwood.
Villa Mana is perfect for extended families or groups of friends who enjoy holidaying together yet appreciate loads of breathing space. Small kids will love the wading pool and baskets of toys, while older kids will be drawn to the mountain bikes, flat ‘football-pitch’ garden, and media room with PlayStation and pool table. And adults may well appreciate the full-time staff complete with resident cooks, and myriad private corners where they can slip away from the crowd for some peace and quiet.
Hidden behind high walls in the traditional village of Babakan, afloat on a sea of rice fields, Villa Mana accords guests the privilege of witnessing the rhythms of an authentic and largely unchanged way of life. And yet the 21st Century pleasures of Seminyak are a mere 10km away. Even closer to home are spectacular stretches of black sand beach and world-class surf breaks.

MASTER BEDROOMS
Two of Villa Mana’s master bedrooms are positioned at opposite ends of the upper floor for optimal privacy. These huge rooms are accessed through Japanese-style sliding screen doors, their beds positioned towards a wall of glass doors opening onto the roof terrace. Artfully concealed behind padded silk panels are the ensuite bathrooms, with walk-in rain showers and Japanese-influenced suar wood bathtubs overlooking the roof garden.
Opening onto the pool terrace below is the third master bedroom, its elongated ensuite bathroom features a two-storey river-stone wall towering towards the sky.

GUEST BEDROOMS
Next to the ground-floor master bedroom, lie two ensuite guest bedrooms, each with sliding glass doors that lead onto the rear garden. On the opposite side of the villa’s ground floor, and opening onto the pool terrace, is a twin-bedded room, slightly smaller than the other five and with a bathroom lying just across the passageway, conveniently placed opposite the entertainment room and beside the kids’ bunk room.

Event Facilities
Kitchen and Bar
The main kitchen at Villa Mana is not designed for event use so it cannot be used. Caterers must provide all kitchen equipment and the setup should be on the lower lawn. The car park area should be left free for guests’ arrival and departure and therefore no satellite kitchen should be set up in the area. There is also no bar available for events but caterers may set up free-standing bars on the lawn or the rooftop terrace.
Guest Washrooms
Bathrooms in the bedrooms are not recommended for public use and the bathrooms should be locked during the event. There are two bathrooms available for public use EOs are responsible for the cleanliness of these bathrooms during the course of the event. Parking There is no parking on-site for EOs or suppliers. Vehicles are permitted for one hour period for loading but should be off-site at least one hour prior to the event. Guests should be encouraged to use drivers or taxis for events at Villa Mana.
Regulations and Restrictions
The main living room is an ideal area to welcome guests to the villa. It is perfect for serving welcome drinks but should not be used as an event space. The furniture may be moved, but not removed.
The rooftop of Villa Mana is a beautiful area for al fresco dining or cocktails. No staging is to be built into or over the pool. Floating bamboo and foam structures for candles and flowers are permitted however they should be removed by the EO by 1 am or as soon as guests enter the pool to avoid any damage to the pool.
The lower lawn is a spectacular spot to hold ceremonies. We do recommend installing flooring though as it is at the bottom of a rice field and as such can quickly flood following rain. With our experience, a 1-meter high floor is appropriate. The location of the generator must be approved by the villa manager at the beginning of the planning process. Typically, EOs have placed this on the land over the road but this requires a cable bridge. Smaller generators may fit on the same side of the road as the villa without obstructing traffic.
