Set between the pool and the main villa building is an enchanting, open-sided, alang-alang thatched living and entertainment space – the villa’s social heart. Across lotus ponds, the two-storey main building houses the dining room, media room, two guest bedrooms and the master suite with its private garden plunge pool. The two ‘Ocean’ bedrooms occupy a delightfully private pavilion to the far side of the grounds, close to the beach. All of the rooms are majestic, elegantly furnished and oriented for those magnificent ocean views.

Exemplary, of course – the spirit of Villa Atas Ombak is reflected in the helpful and warm staff whose professionalism and training are evident in the balance they achieve between anticipating every whim and otherwise being invisible. Master Suite
A striking contemporary canvas commands attention in the beautifully furnished master suite, which offers such stunning views beyond its sliding glass doors that the satellite TV and DVD player may not get much use! Beyond the dressing area is a huge bathroom with private garden courtyard where guests can shower alfresco or sink into the hamam-style bathtub. Traditional Balinese doors lead from here to a covered jacuzzi plunge pool.
Main House Guestrooms
The two guest bedrooms in the main house are simply furnished; their focus being on the glorious ocean views to the front, and the river to the side. Both have private terraces, dressing areas, and pretty bathrooms – one extending into a courtyard garden, the one above looking across a frangipani grove.
Ocean Pavilion Guestrooms
In a thatched pavilion close to the beach are two further guest bedrooms and a shared open-sided living area. With the ocean visible beyond the glass walls and interiors of whitewashed wood, these bedrooms have a cool beach vibe. Plantation shutters behind the bed reveal smart, ensuite bathrooms with black terrazzo bathtubs and alfresco showers.

Event Space
Fairytale weddings are a reality at Villa Atas Ombak. The manicured lawns provide a romantic setting for wedding vows and moonlit dinners to the serenade of surf and scent of frangipani, the large open-sided garden pavilion transforms into a ballroom, and the private estate matches intimacy with exclusivity.
Event Facilities
Kitchen and Bar
Villa Atas Ombak has a caterer’s station and a paved area located at the top of the car park with bench space and a washing up area. Caterers are encouraged to use this area for events of over 50. The caterer’s station must be returned to its original state of cleanliness immediately following the end of service at the event.
The villa manager or a designated staff member must be present for the handover.
Free-standing bars may be set up in two positions only – in the sand pit on the left-hand side of the lawn, and on the paved area around the pool. They cannot be placed on the grass.
The EO is responsible for ensuring all rubbish generated by the service of food and drinks at Villa Atas Ombak Is removed at the end of the food and beverage service period to the satisfaction of the villa manager or designated staff member. Guest
Washrooms
There is one guest washroom available for use. The bathroom behind the downstairs bedroom in the main villa may be used as it has an exterior door however the bedroom itself must remain locked. For events of over 100 guests, EOs must supply portable toilets. It is the responsibility of the EO to ensure the cleanliness of the washrooms during events.
Parking
The parking area is to be kept free for guests’ arrival and departure (pick-up and drop-off). This means that there is no parking on site for EOs or suppliers. Vehicles are permitted for a one hour period for loading but should be off-site at least one hour prior to the event.
The area at the bottom of Jalan Batubelig can become quite congested at times so it is important that EOs manage parking coordination. We advise EOs to supply two parking attendants for the event to avoid unnecessary traffic jams. We recommend they be stationed in Villa Atas Ombak and on the corner of Jalan Batubelig and Gang Atas Ombak, and be in constant radio contact. Experienced attendants can be organized through the villa manager at Villa Atas Ombak.
Regulations and Restrictions
The main living room is ideal for welcome drinks but should not be used as an event space. The furniture in this area cannot be moved and no external infrastructure can be brought in. The pavilion in the center of the grounds is a fabulous entertaining space and can be used as a dance floor.
The furniture in this balecan be removed and positioned in accordance with the villa manager’s instructions. The wooden deck (size 3 x 5 meters) built on the left side of the pool facing the beach, is suitable for ceremonies. EOs should refer to our event layout options for guidance. No staging is to be built into or over the pool. Floating bamboo and foam structures for candles and flowers are permitted however the EO should ensure their removal by 1am or as soon as guests enter the pool in order to avoid any damage or injury
