Event Space

Plan your reception party around the pool deck. There is a lovely welcome area where you can receive your guests. The gardens provide ample space for cocktail functions, the solemnization ceremony, and a sit-down dinner. Begin with a themed ceremony on the petal-strewn lawn or within the detachable chapel that can be decorated with flowers, against the backdrop of the sparkling Indian Ocean. The wedding reception can be held in the living pavilion spilling out onto the pool terrace, or in the terraced lower garden, as the setting sun stains the sky a fiery orange. A dance floor can be set up here as well.

Kitchen and Bar 

The villa’s kitchen must not be used during any event. Caterers can set up a tented satellite kitchen near the villa’s entrance with a partition to cover the view. Freestanding bars can be set up in the pool deck area or on the grass and must use a mat to protect the surfaces. 

Guest Washrooms 

There are two guest washrooms next to the dining room and an additional toilet next to the master bedroom. These can be used for events. It is the responsibility of the EO to ensure the cleanliness of the washrooms during the event.

Parking 

The parking area is to be kept free for guests’ arrival and departure (drop-off and pick-up only). This means that there is no parking on site for EOs or suppliers. However, there’s designated parking space for the event before the villa’s entrance for the vendors and guests to park. Vehicles are permitted for one hour for loading but should be off-site at least one hour before the event.

The living room is ideal for welcome drinks and the dining room for buffet set up. The dining table can be used for buffet display, however, a mat must be used to protect its surface. 

Furniture in these areas may be removed and these spaces may be used as a last resort in the event of rain, though a tent should ideally be put up in the garden. EOs should consider this space only in the case of emergencies and ensure a proper wet weather plan is conceived for events taking place between November and March. 

Staging is permitted over the pool, however, a site plan must be submitted a minimum of 45 days prior for approval. 

Marquees must be freestanding and the flooring only can be set up on the day of the event to minimize damage to the grass. 

Floating bamboo and foam structures for candles and flowers are permitted. However, the EO should ensure their removal by 1 am or as soon as guests enter the pool to avoid any damage or injury. 

Fireworks, flower confetti and the release of balloons/wishing lanterns are strictly forbidden.
