Poised on a clifftop commanding stupendous views of the ocean, Sohamsa Ocean Estate comprises the five-bedroom Villa Soham and four-bedroom Villa Hamsa. The villas are set in an exclusive enclave on the southernmost part of the Bukit peninsula – a still-unspoilt slice of Bali that’s only half an hour from the airport and close to some of the island’s best known attractions – the iconic Uluwatu sea temple, for example, the seafood restaurants of Jimbaran Bay, and some world-famous surf breaks.
Sohamsa Ocean Estate owes its name to a Sanskrit mantra: ‘Soham’ – and its inversion ‘ham-sa’ (translating as ‘I am he’) – suggests oneness with the universe. It’s an inspired name, as the villas’ magical setting sparks mindfulness and an appreciation of nature’s bounty. Within both beautifully designed villas are abundant living and dining spaces (both formal and casual, air-conditioned and alfresco), generous air-conditioned bedrooms and bathrooms, large infinity pools, and well-equipped gyms and massage rooms.
After a hearty breakfast served on the dining terrace, spend your morning pushing weights in the gym, working up a sweat in the sauna and cooling off with a few laps in the pool. After a morning of activity, you’ll deserve a leisurely lunch in the poolside pavilion, and a siesta on the deck followed by a massage. Take your chauffeured car to Pandawa Beach for an afternoon swim or kayak, then sink into a deep relaxing bath with breathtaking ocean views, before adjourning to the pool pavilion for sunset cocktails and a seafood barbecue prepared by the highly accomplished chef – part of a team of staff dedicated to making your time at Sohamsa really special.
When both Villa Soham & Villa Hamsa are rented together they can sleep up to 18 guests and are perfect for multiple families or groups of friends holidaying together. Conveniently for singles and those traveling with kids, most of the bedrooms can be set up as twins.

MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom suite lies between the pool and the cliff edge perched atop the guest suites block. Under the soaring Merbau wood ceiling sits a massive emperor-size four-poster bed facing the treetops of the adjoining sister Villa Soham. A sofa in the corner makes a cozy reading corner or can be converted to a kid’s bed. A 42-inch LED TV on a movable platform provides alternative entertainment to the 180-degree ocean vista beyond the suite’s enormous ironwood deck.
GUEST BEDROOMS
Occupying the level below the master suite and swimming pool are three spacious guest suites – each with twins convertible to king-size beds, lacquer cabinet concealing a TV, marble-topped table and deeply cushioned banquette. One guest bedroom has a prime position overlooking the ocean and a wall of glass bringing the stunning view into the bathroom too. The other mirror-image bedrooms look onto a lotus pond within a walled courtyard; in each, a statement bathtub sits on a private ironwood deck accessed by sliding doors from the bathroom.
Equally palatial is the bathroom with twin basins on a marble countertop, ceramic bathtub, WC enclosure, wall of well-designed wardrobes and both indoor and outdoor rain showers looking over the ocean.
MASTER BEDROOM SUITE
Bask in the stunning views across the pool towards the ocean from the 2.4 meter wide Emperor bed resting in the center of this huge master suite. The view is equally impressive from the bathtub set before a wall of glass in the adjoining ensuite. Both bedroom and ensuite open onto a lotus-lined teakwood deck with private seating.
POOL GUEST SUITES
One of the two guest bedrooms that flank the master suite is equally spacious, with the same stunning ocean view across the pool from both bedroom and bathroom, a centrally positioned bed comprising two twins (that convert to a king), and with a small terrace beyond the wall of glass. The slightly smaller second guest room has a king-size bed and faces the garden beyond a circular staircase leading to the living pavilion veranda.
UPPER GUEST SUITES
Two further guest suites occupy a third-level wing, both with vaulted roof, twins converting to a king-size bed, daybed and ottoman, and walk-through wardrobe into the shower room. The ocean views from the south-facing guestroom are wonderful.

Event Space
Villa Soham (5 Bedrooms) has been specially designed to cater for weddings, parties and celebrations as this villa offers space to host intimate weddings, wellness and corporate retreats.
This villa offers magnificent cliff top villas with ocean views with modern and stunning living spaces.
Welcome drinks can be served at Villa Soham’s lounge area or pergola terrace; this area is also suitable for stand-up cocktails after the ceremony.
The pool bale provides space for the bar set up or buffet area while the master bedroom’s wooden terrace can be used as DJ booth or entertainment area.
Dancing is permitted either in the pool bale or in a paved pool area.
Event Facilities
Kitchen and Bar
The villa’s kitchen must not be used during an event; therefore, caterers must set up satellite kitchen in the staff quarters area and use a marquee to cover the area (space is 6-meter-long x 3-meter-wide) and while plating can be done inside the villa kitchen area.
There is no bar available at the villa, therefore caterers will need to supply freestanding bars and use a mat to protect the grass surface or the wooden floor at pool bale area.
Guest Washrooms
There is one guest’s washroom near the lounge area near the entrance and two downstairs, one is inside the spa and another one inside the sauna.
It is the responsibility of the EO to ensure the cleanliness of the bathrooms during the events.
Parking
The parking area is to be kept free for guests’ arrival and departure. This means that there is no parking on site for EO’s or suppliers.
Vehicles are permitted for a one-hour period for loading and unloading but should be off-site at least one hour prior to the event.
