The Pala is one of four exceptional villas that make up the Pandawa Cliff Estate – a hidden paradise located high above the ocean on Bali’s southernmost tip.
As the estate’s name suggests, the villas are positioned on the cliff top overlooking the golden sands of Pandawa Beach. This is spectacular, unadulterated Bali at its best: far from the hoi polloi of Seminyak and Kuta, yet less than half an hour’s drive from the airport and many of Bali’s top attractions, including the revered sea temple of Uluwatu and the fine dining establishments of Jimbaran and Nusa Dua.
Together, The Pala, Villa Rose, Villa Markisa and Villa Marie offer a total of 21 bedrooms, capable of sleeping 42 adults. This, coupled with the superbly landscaped cliff top gardens, extensive decked areas, huge team of professional yet personable staff and purpose-designed guest facilities, make The Pandawa Cliff Estate a wedding and special event venue par excellence. The four villas also share a sports center with a full-size tennis court, squash court, gym and spa.
The Pala is a truly magnificent six-bedroomed property with an ambiance that is regal and yet intimate. An extraordinary choice of elegant living space is positioned to the front of the villa, opening to the pool, gardens and ocean. Four equally sized and very private ensuite guest rooms are each divided by sliding screen doors to create either a private lounge or children’s bedroom. The fifth guest room lies below the villa’s luxurious second-floor master suite, which grants its occupants an ocean and beach panorama that defies description. No less than four dining areas, a spa treatment room, fitness room and children’s playroom contribute to The Pala’s many spaces for ultimate holiday rest and relaxation.
A skilled private chef heads the estate’s staff kitchen, and he and his team prepare and serve a wide range of gastronomic delights from a restaurant-style menu. The villas are neatly maintained by a small army of housekeepers, gardeners and pool attendants, and guarded by a team of diligent security staff, while two seven-seater cars with drivers are on standby for guests who wish to explore this delightful corner of the island of the gods.

MASTER BEDROOM
With floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides and a glass-fronted balcony looking down to the turquoise ocean and white sands of Pandawa Beach, The Pala’s master bedroom wing is reminiscent of the prow of a fine ship.
A sitting area with a 40-inch satellite channel TV and two comfortable sofas leads to the air-conditioned master bedroom and its divine panorama. So as not to compete with the views perhaps, the bedroom is simply but stylishly furnished with a pair of two-seater sofas, a writing desk and a king-sized bed below a brightly coloured, traditionally woven panel. Beyond the spacious walk-in dressing room is an equally spacious bathroom with double vanity, a separate shower area and a freestanding tub.
GUEST SUITES
Four of The Pala’s five guest suites are arranged in pairs, one above the other, on either side of the villa’s entrance with views over the gardens or the ocean. All are very private and will appeal to both families with young children and those who appreciate having some extra personal living space, thanks to the clever addition of a sliding partition wall that separates the sleeping area from a light-filled anteroom that works well as a study, sitting room or kids bedroom. Two of the suites are furnished with king beds and the other two with split-king beds giving plenty of flexibility for different guest group configurations.
All four suites feature cool marble floors, sofas or daybeds, writing desks, top of the range audio-visual equipment, bar fridges and attractive latticework panels between the beds and dressing areas. Bright ensuite bathrooms are fitted twin vanities, freestanding tubs and generous glass-fronted shower cubicles; all are finished in soothing white and cream marble. One of the ground-floor suites also boasts an outdoor shower.
At the front of the villa, a striking spiral staircase leads down to final guest suite, which is immediately below the master suite and opens onto the lawn. The room is furnished with a split-king bed and sofa and accented in warm reds. Its ensuite bathroom has both indoor and outdoor showers.

Kitchen and Bar
Outside caterers are not permitted to use the villa’s bar and kitchen at any time. There is one commercial kitchen at the rear of The Pala specially built for events, however caterers should bring their own cooking equipment if catering for a particularly large event. If necessary, plating can be done outside this kitchen but the preparation area should be screened from view.
Trucks may be unloaded from the path beside the kitchen but must not be parked there. Bars should be freestanding. EOs are advised to take appropriate measures to minimize the damage to the grass
Guest Washrooms
The Pala has two bathrooms near the amphitheater, behind the bar. It is the responsibility of the EO to ensure the cleanliness of these washrooms during events.
Parking
The parking area is to be kept free for guest arrivals and departures. Vehicles are permitted for a one hour period for loading but should be off site at least one hour prior to the event. Trucks may be unloaded from the path beside the kitchen but must not be parked there.
Regulation & Restriction
The Pala’s grand entrance lawns are ideal for welcome drinks but may not be used as a main event space. The main living and dining room at Pala and Rose should not be used as main event spaces and if in case these areas are used as an event space or as a backup plan during the wet weather, this will incur a penalty fee of USD 5,000++.
Floating bamboo and foam structures for candles and flowers are allowed, however, EOs should ensure their removal by 1am or as soon as guests enter the pool in order to avoid any damage or injury.
Floating stage arrangement will require a refundable security deposit at US$ 4,000 which is payable in cash upon check in.
Marquees must be freestanding. Fireworks, Thai wishing lanterns and/or the release of balloons are strictly forbidden. Only one wedding will be allowed on the estate any one day
